Full program description
This is a web‑based course in Laboratory Animal Science focusing on electrofishing as a survey method. The course covers both wading and boat electrofishing and includes basic fish biology as well as Swedish legislation relevant to survey fishing. You will gain essential knowledge of electrofishing equipment, electrical safety, electrical theory, fish reactions to electric current, injury risks, and the 3R principles.
The course also addresses species identification and gentle handling of fish. Each module concludes with a short online knowledge test.
